Earlier, rugs were produced manually, the laborious manufacture took usually long years. Within centuries a plenty of different techniques have been applied for rugs production. Another, same early, but to this day popular technology is weaving. In woven rugs the primary basis and shag are linked with woven basis by one operation. The main indicators of rugs quality, which determine rugs durability are considered a stuff, from which they are woven, and density of rugs.
The woolen rugs are considered as the strongest. With appearance of new technologies and transition from manual to industrial production, the rugs cease to be attribute of only rich people dwellings and become widespread manufactures.
