The best wool is taken from young animals. The raw determines the manufacture properties. The wool is painted not easily, so wool area rugs often have got the natural color. The ability to accumulate electric charge and high affinity to grease are disadvantages of wool area rugs.
But harmless raw is the reason why wool is recommended as material for child coverlets. The yarn, thrown of wool can be used both for machine and hand-weaving. Hand-made wool area rugs are produced mostly in Asia region and they are more expensive. Such natural manufactures are readily imported.
